I’m not a fan of spice shakers, since they make it hard to tell how much seasoning is added to a dish. For that reason, I keep salt and pepper and other frequently used dry seasonings in little spice bowls. The bowls add a sophisticated touch to the table. Little will your guests know that they are made from kids’ modeling clay.
You will need:
1. Roll out the clay on the coarse linen to a thickness of ⅛ inch.
2. Using the biscuit cutter or a drinking glass, cut out circles of clay.
3. Form the disks into concave bowl shapes with your fingers.
4. Let dry or bake according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Paint the dried dishes. To clean, simply wipe them off.
