Dear Reader,

When I was eighteen, I traveled to South America to meet up with a friend. Flying to a foreign country by myself where I had a limited grasp of the language was terrifying. Plus, the plane had technical problems and was stuck on the tarmac for two hours! Being a melodramatic teenager, I was sure I was going to die. I started to cry and a young Brazilian guy got up from his seat and asked to join me. He was cute, sweet and very kind. He gave me his phone number to call him when I got to Rio at the tail end of my trip. He and his gracious family welcomed me into their home. Chris, his sister, became my Brazilian sister. I credit her for helping with the Portuguese words and context to sketch out Nicolas Medeiros.

Nicolas was an international teenage heartthrob. But he was more than that to Chloe Harper. His music, videos and poster helped her survive her tough childhood. Now that she is a grown woman with stardom of her own, she is tasked to work with sexy Nicolas to help her family’s resort.
