No differentiation is made in Brueggemann’s corpus regarding whether the text is from an OT-only sermon or a combined one. Totals in boldface indicate outperformance vis-à-vis the Best Sermons series (see apps. 1–3 above and chaps. 2 and 9) as determined by percentage. Out of the 39 biblical books, Brueggemann’s corpus outperforms the Best Sermons series 22 times, with the Best Sermons series outperforming Brueggemann’s corpus only 12 times (in each of those instances Brueggemann’s corpus lacks a sermon on that book of the OT). Both corpora lack sermons on five books: Ruth, Esther, Obadiah, Nahum, and Haggai.
