About the Authors
Debra Angel MacDougall is the founder and president of WorkNet International Inc. She and her associates devote their time to assisting government and private organizations throughout North America, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom to develop effective career development/job placement programs for individuals who are finding it difficult to get good jobs.
She has received recognition for her inspired and practical response to social issues over the last twenty-five years, including Outstanding Young Woman presented by the United Nations’ National Council of Women—USA, the National Customer Service Award presented by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals, and Woman of the Year presented by the Salvation Army. She is the coauthor of the highly acclaimed book No One Is Unemployable: Creative Solutions for Overcoming Barriers to Employment, named a Top Ten Career Book of the Year by the Los Angeles Times, and was named by Richard Bolles, author of What Color Is Your Parachute?, as one of “six thinkers who have had the most influence on me, over the years.” She lives in Scotland with her husband, Gordon.
Elisabeth Harney Sanders-Park is certified as a job and career transition coach and workforce development professional, and has greatly influenced the field of career development for the last fifteen years. She is a nationally recognized tough career transitions expert and a highly sought-after trainer, consultant, and keynote speaker. She coauthored the acclaimed book No One Is Unemployable as well as other widely used industry-leading resources and is a regular columnist for “The Career Planning & Adult Development Network” newsletter. She has been a guest expert on radio shows, television news, and talk shows, including Rikki Lake, Extra! Australia, and American Family.
She is the president of WorkNet Solutions, which exists to help improve the effectiveness of North American government and private organizations to successfully transition people with significant barriers into the workforce. Her customers include welfare-to-work systems, recovery programs, colleges and universities, correctional programs, vocational training schools, refugee and relocation services, and others. She and her husband, Brian, live with their three children in North Carolina.
