INGREDIENTS
6 oz of cooked sausage, grease drained, thinly slice (You can also use ground sausage)
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of shredded sharp white cheddar cheese, or regular
1 1/2 blanched cups of almond flour
1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp of sea salt
1 tbsp of chopped fresh chives
2 minced large garlic cloves
1 large pastured egg
4 oz of softened cream cheese
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350° degrees
2. Whip the eggs and cream cheese together, using a hand mixer on low speed in a medium bowl.
3. Add the Italian seasoning, sea salt, chives and garlic, then mix into the egg cheese mixture.
4. Add the cheddar cheese, heavy cream, almond flour and water. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
5. Slowly mix in the sausage into the mixture using a rubber spatula.
6. Lightly greased muffin pan
7. Drop a heap mold of dough into 8 wells on the muffin top pan.
8. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Allow biscuits to cool in the muffin pan before removing.
