At this point, you may be beginning to suspect that the Liberal Party of Canada will say absolutely anything to get elected, that they will promise one thing in one part of the country and promise something completely different in another part. But that’s not true! It’s just that, when you’re Justin Trudeau throwing promises around like confetti at a parade, with so many goodies to so many people, it’s hard not to get caught up in the euphoria of it all. Happens to the best of us. Case in point, the following two statements made in two different parts of the country only a few months apart.

For those of you who thought you were voting in favour of pipelines: wrong! And for those of you who thought you were voting against pipelines: wrong again! It’s not a contradiction; it’s a Zenlike paradox. Remember: we have to rethink such basic concepts as time and space, to say nothing of truth and duplicity.
