JUSTIN KNOWS HOW TO WOO THE MEDIA AND THE MEDIA LOVES TO BE WOOED.

In the midst of the 2015 election, Justin suddenly announced he would be giving the CBC a $150 million boost in funding. Some more cynical than I might suggest that $150 million buys you a lot of good coverage, but not me! (Is it impolite to point out that the CBC’s lead anchor at the time, Peter Mansbridge, also officiated at Justin Trudeau’s director of communications’ wedding? Cozy, no?)

It gets better. With clockwork predictability, Justin announced in the lead-up to the 2019 election that he would be providing a further $560 million for Canadian print media. But I am sure none of that will sway Canada’s unimpeachable journalists from holding Justin to account!
