The following is a transcript from question period in the House for May 10, 2017, where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau avoided answering a simple question eighteen times in a row.

And these are just the highlights; for a complete rundown of the entire session, including interruptions, Speaker admonishments, and rambling digressions by Justin about “democracy” and “the middle class”—none of which, of course, has anything to do with the question at hand: How many times have you met with the ethics commissioner?—you can read it in its entirety online at: Parliament of Canada, House of Commons Official Record (Hansard).

If you’re thinking, Not answering a question eighteen times doesn’t seem so bad, I recommend you read what follows from beginning to end without skimming and tell me you don’t feel like you need a shower afterward.

If nothing else, it makes for a fun parlour game! Invite eighteen of your closest friends over to play the parts of the various MPs. (For the role of Justin, a tape recorder will suffice, as he gives the same non-answer every single time.) Either way, you really do have to read it aloud to get the full impact.
