It was a peaceful evening at Mouseford

Academy. Almost all the students had retired

to their dorm rooms. Only one doorway was

still filled with light. Quiet chattering

came from inside.

It was Nicky and Paulina’s room. The

Thea Sisters were there, going over formulas

for their math test the next day.

“I’ve got it!” Pam cried. “The answer to

number five is thirty-six point nine!”

Nicky looked up from her notebook.

“But I got . . . seven.”

“Me too,” Colette said.

“So did we,” Paulina and Violet added.
