About the Authors

Donna M. Stringer, Ph.D., is president of Executive Diversity Services Inc., a Seattle-based management consulting and employee training firm. Her doctoral degree in social/developmental psychology has led to a thirty-year career working as a teacher, senior trainer, instructional designer, researcher and writer in addition to her current position. As a consultant, she applies theory and practice to work team interventions, trainer education, and executive coaching. Since 1994, Stringer has been a faculty member of The Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication. She is also adjunct faculty at Seattle University, University of Washington, and Antioch University, where she teaches a variety of international business, management and intercultural courses.

Patricia A. Cassiday, Ed.D., is an adjunct professor at Seattle University and a professional coach, specializing in the support of cross-cultural transition for individuals and families. While working as a counselor in Germany, Cassiday served as a consultant on topics related to international transition, third culture kids, comprehensive guidance, and conflict resolution. As a certified counselor, educator, curriculum developer and expatriate, Cassiday brings her special combination of skills to this book.
