INTEGRITY

APP: People of integrity live differently. There’s a consistency in their lives that is based on a set of values that are important to them. They have a commitment to honesty and truthfulness that causes them to be authentic in the way they live instead of being a hypocrite. It’s a quality that develops deep inside over time that enables them to know the right thing to do. But sadly there is an integrity crisis today. We live in a world that says there are no moral absolutes—no right or wrong. Compromise divides what happens in the government, at school, at home, and sometimes even in the church.

How do you live and behave at home? What about school or work? Do you live consistently? What specific things do you need to change in your life to be a person of integrity? To be this kind of person means that you keep your word, live by what is right instead of what’s convenient, and establish a biblical set of principles to live by. A person of integrity doesn’t disagree with themselves and takes responsibility for their actions. What they say and how they live match.

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.

PROVERBS 11:3 NIV

I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously.
