APP: Our culture is full of roadblocks that get in the way of us finding meaning and purpose in life. It’s easy to think that being popular or having money, fame, and possessions is what it takes to make life worth living. Just look at the celebs, rock stars, and pro athletes who seem totally satisfied with life. It may seem that way from the outside looking in, but it’s not reality. Unfortunately, lots of people in the spotlight who have everything you think you could ever want or need are empty inside. They’re still searching for a way to fill the emptiness deep inside and to make sense out of life. That’s what happens when we ignore the One who created us and try to live without Him. God is the only One who can give us true meaning and purpose to our lives. Who would know better than the One who created us? His ultimate plan is to transform us so radically that we live for and like Jesus. Do you have a reason to get up in the morning? If your life lacks purpose, maybe it’s because you’re not allowing God to work in and through you.
