2 6-inch pita rounds
6-oz. can tuna, drained
1 T. mayonnaise
1 T. dill pickle relish
1/4 t. dill weed
1/8 t. salt
1/2 tomato, cut into thin wedges
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Arrange pitas on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Mix together tuna, mayonnaise, relish, dill weed and salt in a small bowl; spread onto pitas. Arrange tomato wedges on top; sprinkle with cheese. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, until cheese melts.
Softened cream cheese is perfect for piping into cherry tomatoes, pea pods or onto celery sticks...terrific served alongside sandwiches of all kinds.
