To change the background color of the graphics window, click the Options 
icon on the Quick Access Toolbar. On the System Optons dialog, click the Colors option from the tree available on the left side. Now, you can set the icon color, user interface background, and background appearance of the graphics window. By default, the Background appearance is set to Use document scene background(recommended). You can also select the Plain, Gradient, or Image file options. If you select the Plain option, the viewport background color available in the Color scheme Settings section is applied to the background. You can change the viewport background color by clicking the Edit button available in the Color scheme Settings section. Next, select color from the Color dialog, and click OK. If you select the Image file option from Background appearance section, click the Browse 
button and select an image file from a location on your computer. Next, click OK on the System Options dialog.
