Placing the second instance of the Sub-assembly

1. In the FeatureManager Design Tree, click on the Flange_subassembly.
2. Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard to copy the assembly.
3. Press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the assembly. Expand the copied flange assembly in the FeatureManager Design Tree and notice that it is copied along with mates between parts of the sub-assembly.
4. Change the orientation of the assembly, as shown.

1. On the CommandManager, click Assembly tab > Mate.
2. Select the two faces of the assembly, as shown.

1. Click OK on the PropertyManager.
2. Click on the cylindrical faces of the assembly, as shown.

1. Click OK on the PropertyManager.

1. Select the flat faces of the assembly, as shown.

1. Click the Anti Aligned icon under the Mate Alignment section of the PropertyManager; the SOLIDWORKS dialog appears showing that the Concentric mate was reversed to prevent any errors.

1. Click OK on the SOLIDWORKS dialog to close it.
2. Click OK on the PropertyManager to create the mate.
3. Change the assembly orientation to Isometric.
