- In the FeatureManager Design Tree, click on the Flange_subassembly.
- Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard to copy the assembly.
- Press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the assembly. Expand the copied flange assembly in the FeatureManager Design Tree and notice that it is copied along with mates between parts of the sub-assembly.
- Change the orientation of the assembly, as shown.


- On the CommandManager, click Assembly tab > Mate.
- Select the two faces of the assembly, as shown.

- Click OK on the PropertyManager.
- Click on the cylindrical faces of the assembly, as shown.

- Click OK on the PropertyManager.

- Select the flat faces of the assembly, as shown.

- Click the Anti Aligned
icon under the Mate Alignment section of the PropertyManager; the SOLIDWORKS dialog appears showing that the Concentric mate was reversed to prevent any errors.
- Click OK on the SOLIDWORKS dialog to close it.
- Click OK on the PropertyManager to create the mate.
- Change the assembly orientation to Isometric.
