Creating the Detailed View

Now, you need to create the detailed view of the keyway that appears on the front view.

1. To create the detailed view, click View Layout > Detail View on the CommandManager.
2. Specify the center point and boundary point of the detail view, as shown in figure.

1. On the PropertyManager, under the Detail Circle section, set the options shown below.

1. Set the Display Style and Scale options, as shown below.

1. Place the detail view below the base view. Click OK on the PropertyManager.

In SOLIDWORKS, you can change the scale of the drawing views by using the drop-down available at the bottom right. Note that the scale of the detail view remains unchanged.

You can change the outline of the detail view by using the options in the Detail View section of the PropertyManager.

Use the Shape Intensity slider to change the size of the jagged shape.
