STEP 1: Cut the pieces. Follow the garden rose template to cut out twenty 1½˝-diameter circles and four 2˝-diameter circles from the pink felt.

Step 2: Roll the first circle. Add some glue along the bottom of one of the small circles and roll it up.

Step 3: Attach the second petal. Glue another petal around the first one, positioning it so it faces the opposite direction.

Step 4: Continue adding the petals. Add another pair of petals opposite one another on the remaining two sides of the flower. Continue adding petals in pairs this way. This will help you keep your rose balanced. You can use all the small circles or stop when the flower reaches your desired size.

Step 5: Shape the petals. Cut a ¾˝-long slit in each 2˝ circle. Put a small dot of glue on one side of the slit. Pull the other side over and press it in place on top of the glue. This will give each petal a cupped shape.

Step 6: Attach the petals. Add glue to the bottom (cut) end of each petal and attach them to the bottom of the flower in pairs opposite one another.
