Wildflower
Nothing says free spirit like a wildflower. I imagine these little blossoms blanketing a field, popping up in unattended corners of a garden, and welcoming butterflies and bees. Tucked into a flower crown or lightening an otherwise more formal arrangement, wildflowers brighten the mood and add some whimsy wherever they land.
SUPPLIES
Light pink felt
½˝ × 2½˝ strip of yellow or orange felt
Wildflower template
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
STEP 1: Cut the pieces. Follow the wildflower template to cut out one wildflower from the pink felt.
STEP 2: Cut the felt. Cut slits along one long edge of the orange felt strip, cutting about two-thirds of the way across the strip. Be careful not to cut all the way through the strip.
STEP 3: Roll the felt. Add glue to the bottom (uncut) edge of the orange felt strip and roll it up, working in sections. This will be the center of your flower.
STEP 4: Attach the center. Add a drop of glue to the center of the petals and press the flower center into place.
STEP 5: Glue the petals. Add a drop of glue to the center of one of the petals near the base. Pinch the sides of the petal together and press it up against the flower center. Repeat with the remaining petals.
