The topic of this book is a little out of the way for my socially progressive character, Emily, but I hope it portrays one of the many powerful forces that were just beginning to make an impact on the world, which eventually became the one we live in now. I plan to continue with more stories of Emily and her family and friends in the new century, and I hope readers will continue to follow her adventures.
