Chapter 24

After a fun afternoon practising jumping small doubles in the field with Mrs. Ryan, Una, Tara and Roisin had dismounted, loosened their pony’s girth and were leading their ponies back through the forest to the stable.

"Let's meet up later, alright?" Roisin suggested, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face as she looked at Tara and Una.

"Sounds good to me," Tara responded, patting her pony gently on its neck.

"It feels like ages since we've had a proper chat, it’s been so busy! We have so much to catch up on since Athenry. What about you, Una?"

Una was busy untacking her pony but glanced up and nodded enthusiastically.

"Absolutely! I've missed our library sessions. It's always so peaceful in there."

Roisin grinned, relieved that her friends were on board with the idea. "Brilliant! Let's say, around seven?"

Both Tara and Una nodded in agreement as they continued their chores.

"Let's do it," Tara said firmly, while Una added, "See you there."
