About the Author
Larry Warwaruk has published the adult novel The Ukrainian Wedding and the juvenile fiction novel Andrei and the Snow Walker with Coteau Books. He is also the author of the novel Rope of Time and the non-fiction book Red Finns of the Coteau. His short fiction has been published in numerous literary journals and broadcast on CBC Radio. He was the lead editor for the popular Saskatchewan literature anthology Sundog Highway. The Ukrainian Wedding was the recipient of the Saskatchewan Fiction Award, while Andrei and the Snow Walker was a finalist for the national Kobzar Award.
Larry is also active in community theatre, founding the Snakebite Players in Beechy, Saskatchewan and winning several Best Director awards in Saskatchewan community theatre festivals. He claims his fondest theatre memory is having directed the Snakebites in Ken Mitchell’s play The Shipbuilder.
Born and raised in southern Saskatchewan, Larry received education degrees from the universities of Regina and Oregon. He was a teacher and principal in central Saskatchewan towns for many years, and is now a full-time writer.
