John Humphrys has been a journalist with the BBC for a record-breaking fifty years. He has reported from all over the world and presented frontline news programmes on both radio and television, including serving as presenter of Radio 4’s Today programme since 1987. He has won a string of national awards, including Journalist of the Year and the Gold Sony Radio Award, and has been described as a ‘national treasure’. He’s also been accused of ‘poisoning the well of democratic debate’ with his style of interviewing. He continues to host Mastermind on BBC Two.
