Quick Asian Dipping Sauce

This has to be the world’s easiest dipping sauce: Just two ingredients can add volumes of flavor.

MAKES 3/4 CUP (185 ML)


       EQUIPMENT: A small jar with a lid.

        1/2 cup (125 ml) soy sauce

        1/4 cup (60 ml) brown rice vinegar

Combine the ingredients in the jar, tighten the lid, and shake to blend.

VARIATION: Add several tablespoons grated fresh ginger.

MAKE-AHEAD NOTE: Store in the covered jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
