Evan James was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Travel + Leisure, Oxford American, The Iowa Review, and many other publications. He has received awards and fellowships from Yaddo, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Lambda Literary, the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation, and Arteles Creative Center. He lives in New York.
