Part 2

Everything You Need to Know
About Compatibility

In Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy wrote, “All happy families resemble one another; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”

Happiness and unhappiness are hard to define, and family members can experience periods of both happiness and unhappiness. In many cases, the cause of long periods of unhappiness—which can separate family members from one another—has its root in incompatibility.

In part 2 of this book, we will delve into the issue of compatibility in detail, for two reasons. The first reason is that having a compatible relationship will ensure that you and your partner will be able to work out your karmic differences amicably so that you can avoid the growth of resentment and regret. The second is that in many families, compatibility must be enhanced in order to heal the family dynamic.
