As I said, there’s nothing wrong with a good sandwich, but wraps have one advantage, which is that you can fit a whole salad’s worth of vegetables inside them. Here’s one example.
2 cups romaine lettuce, which has been
washed and broken into bite-size pieces
2 tablespoons Caesar salad dressing
1 chicken breast, cut into strips
2 (8-inch) whole wheat soft tortillas
Place the lettuce in a bowl and mix in the salad dressing. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with olive oil. Add the chicken strips and stir occasionally until they are fully cooked (about 4 minutes). Remove the chicken from the skillet and add to the salad mixture. Heat the tortillas on the skillet for 10 seconds per side. Spoon half of the chicken salad mixture onto the center of each wrap and fold.
Two wraps provide 45 g of carbs and count as one portion each of whole grains, lean meat, and vegetables.
