There is one last task before this Love the Home You Have road closes.
The time has come to deal with our friends the sorting bags, although mine usually turn into boxes. Where does all that stuff come from?
The store bag – If you have the space to store the items, then pop them in a box, date it and put it somewhere out of the way, so you can look at them in a year or two, by then you’ll have a clear understanding if the stuff belongs in your home. If you don’t have room to store the stuff, then I would recommend flipping a coin, with heads or tails to keep or throw for each item. While you’re waiting for the coin to land, pay attention to what you’re hoping will show and there is your answer. If you’re really hoping the coin will tell you to keep it, then go with that. If you don’t really care, then you can probably find another home for it.
The move bag – Find new spots in your home for all the items in this bag.
The repair bag – Write in the diary when to do the repairs.
The rehome bag – Pack up to take to the thrift shop, for the market stall, online auction or give to friends.
