“WHY AM I EVEN COMING here?” I asked aloud. “I'm not sick, I'm not pregnant, and last time I checked there weren't any weird things growing on my skin!”
No one was listening. There wasn't anyone to hear me! I was simply complaining about my decision to jump onto this server. I've been working a routine job on the Meep City server for some time now, and finally decided that it might be good to get a checkup at the Roblox Hospital. It was true that I wasn't sick, but I've heard stories of perfectly healthy people who contracted nasty bugs or viruses and started glitching all over the place. I certainly didn't want that, so I had decided to hop onto this server one Saturday and get looked at. It shouldn't take long and then I'll have some peace of mind going forward.
But now that I was here I was regretting the whole plan.
“Just get in and get out,” I said to myself as I walked up to the building. The Roblox Hospital is a sprawling building, seven stories tall, built from white stone with a marble trim. Lots of windows lined each floor, allowing bright light to stream inside uninhibited. It really was a beautiful building, but for some reason, it had an eerie presence to it as well. But I pushed this feeling out of my mind, chalking it up to being nervous about possibly getting a shot.
I walked into the lobby, filled out an application, and handed it to the plump receptionist sitting at the front desk.
“A nurse will see you shortly.” The woman said, never bothering to look up from her computer screen.
I sat down in the waiting room with a handful of other people. Everyone was focused on their phones or other electronic devices and paid me no mind. I simply closed my eyes and waited for my name to be called.
“Mr. Lawrence?” A high pitched voice called out my name, startling me away from the verge of a nap.
“Yes, yes, that's me,” I said, and hurriedly got to my feet.
“Just follow me please, sir.” The voice said.
I did as I was told, and followed a young nurse down a long corridor to a small doctor's office. Once inside I got my first good look at the nurse who had called me. She was dressed in a white uniform. The skirt was extremely short, barely reaching past her waist. It was also very tight and did a very poor job of concealing her significant assets. Her hair was a bleached blonde color and done up in pigtails, with a purple streak highlighting the ends. She had an inordinate amount of makeup on her face, and she gave me a smile that was almost as fake as it was big. In most other circumstances, I would have considered this woman attractive, but there was just something very bizarre about her.
I don't remember nurses dressing like this the last time I was in the hospital!
“Hello, Mr. Lawrence! My name is Valentina and I will be taking care of you today! Please, have a seat on the examination table.”
I did as I was told, and slid up onto the table. Nurse Valentina walked to a table behind me and rustled through some drawers. As she did I looked around the room at the various charts on the wall.
“OW!!!” I yelped in pain.
To my utter shock, the nurse had retrieved a large needle from the drawer and jabbed it into my arm!
“Do you do this to every patient?” I asked in shock.
“Please, sir, just relax. I know what's best for you,” she said, flashing that fake smile again.
“I'm not thurb thass thru..” I mumbled. My words had suddenly become very slurred. Then, the entire room began to swim in circles!” Peas, leth me leaf... Ife eel f-f-fine...”
But that was as far as I got. My vision faded to darkness, and I fell backward onto the examining table.
