Sherman Alexie has won the National Book Award. He is the author of twenty-four books to date.

 

Esther G. Belin was raised in Lynwood, California. She is the author of From the Belly of My Beauty. 

 

Dickey Betts is a musician and songwriter from Florida. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has played on numerous albums.

 

Ron Cooper is the author of the novels Hume’s Fork, Purple Jesus, and the forthcoming Gospel of the Twin. 

 

Patrick Michael Finn is the author of a short story collection and a novella. He lives in Arizona.

 

Larry Fondation is the author two novels and three short story collections. His fiction focuses primarily on the Los Angeles underbelly.

 

Michael Gills is author of Why I Lie, Go Love, The Death of Bonnie and Clyde, and White Indians.  

 

Joseph D. Haske is a writer, critic and scholar, whose debut novel, North Dixie Highway, was released in October 2013.  

 

William Hastings, editor, is the author of The Hard Way. He works as a farmhand and as a bookseller. 

 

Chris Hedges is a senior fellow at The Nation Institute and a columnist for Truthdig. He is the author of numerous books. 

 

Vicki Hendricks is the author of five novels including Miami Purity and Edgar Finalist Cruel Poetry. Her newest novel is Fur People. 

 

Steven Huff is the author of a collection of short stories and two books of poems. He is the founder of Tiger Bark Press.

 

Jason Isbell is a musician and songwriter from Alabama. He has six albums.

 

Chris Offutt is the author of five books and ten screenplays. Forthcoming in 2015 is his memoir A Desk, a Rifle, and Eighteen Hundred Pounds of Porn.  

 

Mark Turcotte (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) lives in Chicago, where he teaches in the English Department at DePaul University.

 

Willy Vlautin has written four novels and is a member of the band Richmond Fontaine.

 

Eric Miles Williamson is author of four books of fiction and three books of criticism. His works have been translated and published internationally.

 

Daniel Woodrell lives on the Missouri side of the Arkansas line. He has published nine novels and a collection of short stories.
