The IDA desktop integrates the features of many common static analysis tools into a single interface. This section will give you an understanding of the IDA desktop and its various windows. The following screenshot shows the IDA desktop after loading an executable file. The IDA desktop contains multiple tabs (IDA View-A, Hex View-1, and so on); clicking on each tab brings up a different window. Each window contains different information extracted from the binary. You can also add additional tabs via the View | Open Subviews menu:
