Most of my cupcake designs have a buttercream or a frosting topping added before the final decoration. Check that your cupcakes are appropriate for the method of frosting – if they are too peaked or high, a flat finish won’t work, so use a swirl of frosting instead, or re-bake with less mixture in the case!
All the cupcakes will taste great even if you choose to have some with just frosting on top for a more adult treat along with others that are fully decorated.
