That morning, Barnacle the pirate was worried. The sky was charged with heavy grey clouds. A storm was approaching. A bit later, the ship was taken by the high waves and the thunder and lightening pierced the sky. Suddenly, a gust of wind carried the main sail away.
“What are we going to do?” Said Barnacle in despair.
“I’ve got an idea, captain,” announced Mat smiling.
“Wait for me!”
Then the cabin boy went into all the cabins and when he returned to the bridge, his arms were full of the crew’s sheets.
“If we tie them all together, these sheets will make a perfect sail!”
So it was and the vessel was saved thanks to Mat the cabin boy!
