“[There is] one Lord, one faith, one baptism.”

— Ephesians 4:5 (AMP)

I Am THE Way

Society today teaches that there are many ways to God. It is popular to believe that all religions are basically alike and that “all roads lead to God.” Not true! There is only one Lord — Jesus.

Maybe you’ve gone to church and Sunday school all your life. Then you go to middle school. Your literature teacher talks about “the Man upstairs,” and your drama coach talks about a Higher Power. Both teacher and coach feel there are many spiritual paths a person might take to find a relationship with God. The coach explains that it is like a wagon wheel. God is the center of the wheel, and the spokes are different religions. She says people can travel any “spoke” (or path) they want to, and eventually they’ll all be with God forever. While that kind of talk sounds soothing to many, it’s 100 percent false.

There is only one way to God. “Jesus said . . . ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ ” (John 14:6 NKJV). That’s pretty strong — and very clear-cut. Don’t be fooled by the devil or led away from God. Jesus is the Way — and the only way!
