“God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.”

— Romans 4:17 (NASB)

Get Your Faith Eyes in Focus

God does miracles. When he said, “Let there be light,” the sun, moon, and stars were formed. And God can call things into existence for you too. What do you need that you don’t have right now? A best friend? A new flute to replace a broken one? What things would you like to have? A place on the track team? A new dress that’s not in your budget? Pray and ask God for what you need. Philippians 4:19 promises that God will supply everything you need (but not necessarily everything you want). God knows what would be the best for you in every situation.

Use your God-given imagination for seeing the good things God can do in your life instead of the bad things you fear might happen. This is not a magic potion or using mind control to get what you want. What you imagine affects what you do. If you imagine yourself stumbling and falling in a race, you are much more likely to do that. If you focus on running swiftly and surefooted, you are more likely to succeed. Your thinking determines your feelings about situations, and your feelings determine your actions.

Use your God-given imagination to see yourself as God sees you!
