“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

— Ephesians 6:12 – 13

The Battle for Beauty

Have you ever unintentionally become involved in a fight when you were just minding your own business? News flash, faithgirl. It’s happening to you now. What happened is you inherited an enemy. You are now engaged in a battle because you belong to Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, has an enemy called Satan. Because he hates Jesus Christ, Satan goes after all Jesus’ friends — including you. So you must “Be alert and of sober mind” (1 Peter 5:8).

Yes, there is a battle for the beauty of believing. Not only are you a darling daughter, you are also a well-equipped soldier in an intense spiritual fight. The fight found you, because you are God’s child. Are you ready to rumble?

What can you do to resist evil right now? Obey the commands of Jesus Christ, faithgirl, trusting God to protect you from the evil one.
