“These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold — and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold.”
— 1 Peter 1:7 (NLT)
Storms of life will come. But Jesus is with us, alongside us, to encourage us not to faint or give up. A test in life is like a test at school. If you look at your math test, try a couple of problems, and then quit because it’s too hard, you’ll fail the test. On the other hand, studying and preparing yourself will help you pass the test.
The same applies to the tests you’ll encounter in life, whether they are health tests, friendship tests, schoolwork tests, or family tests. If you quit when things get hard, you’ll fail the test. God will pick you up and dust you off — but you’ll have to repeat the test. Studying for the tests of life — reading and thinking deeply about what God’s Word says to do — will help you pass your tests and come out much stronger.
