A Ouija board, palm reading, horoscopes, fortune tellers — just a harmless way to have fun at birthday parties and sleepovers? No way! God’s Word specifically warns us against trusting anyone who claims to contact the dead, tell the future, or see into the spiritual realm for information not available to the rest of us. Why the warning? You will be wrongly directed by them. If you want wisdom and insight for making decisions, go to the Lord instead, who is your God.
God understands that you need help. You want to make choices that will have a positive effect on your future. But don’t go to psychics and fortune tellers. Go directly to God instead. “If you need wisdom — if you want to know what God wants you to do — ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking” (James 1:5 NLT).
If you want true help for your future, go to the Bible for answers, and pray directly to God. You can’t go wrong there!
