“God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory . . . So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.”

— Hebrews 2:10 – 12 (NLT)

Family Ties

Nobody wants other people to see them as weak. But a refusal to acknowledge your own limitations is an attitude of pride. Having a proud heart means that you believe you can do everything for yourself, without the help of anyone else. Girls who are proud miss out on the beauty of believing, because instead of trusting God, they trust in themselves.

Father God goes against such proud people. But, faithgirl, when you bow your head and admit to God that you need his help, he gives you the special ability to accomplish everything he wants you to do. As a beautiful daughter of Father God, you have an entire family to help you along your journey of life. Ups and downs. Triumphs and tragedies. Blessings and tough breaks. Your family in Christ will be there for you, but only if you let them. As God connects you to the family of faith, be grateful! Starting today, look out for brothers and sisters in Father God’s family.
