“Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service in the church, but it is the same Lord we are serving. There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work through all of us.”

— 1 Corinthians 12:4 – 6 (NLT)

No Cookie-Cutter Christians

Believers are not cut out with cookie cutters. God made us individuals, with different gifts to share with one another. Although our gifts are different, they all come from one source: the Holy Spirit. God works in our lives very differently, but it is still the same God working in each of us.

Not everyone is a performer, nor wants to be. Does that mean you have no gifts? Not at all! “God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well . . . If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well . . . If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously . . . And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly” (Romans 12:6 – 8 NLT). Serving, sharing, encouraging, showing kindness — these are things we can all do.

You are unique. Share your unique gifts, and watch God use you to be a blessing to others.
