“You [God] created my inmost being . . . all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

— Psalm 139:13, 16

Uniquely You

Have you ever known identical twins? At first, it was probably hard to tell which one was which, until you got to know them. Then it was like, duh, anybody could tell them apart. One was super-quiet, the other would talk your ear off. One could run like a track star, the other could always be found curled up with a copy of Anne of Green Gables. Two people might look exactly alike, but each one is totally different on the inside.

So not only are you worth creating on the outside in all of your one-of-a-kindness — you were custom-designed, tailor-made, handcrafted on the inside too. That’s because you were set up for a purpose nobody else has. Doesn’t it make sense that God gave you the right personality to carry it out? And that personality is different from anyone else you might want to copy. Why miss out on what God has in store for you while you’re trying to get in on his plan for somebody else? Your plans are the best — for YOU — and so is your personality. You’re so worth it.
