Letting Clients Pick Their Own Outfits

Do you allow the client to pick whatever wardrobe options feel most comfortable? Bad idea. For the most part, clients do not know what looks best for the camera.

To ensure success, conduct a wardrobe consultation prior to the photo shoot. Specifically, planning what the client will wear can prevent the need to reschedule your session.

If time allows, have the client bring a few options for you to pick from. However, a teenager may want too many different outfits for their senior portrait, so your photo contract should specify how many changes are allowed per session.
