CHRISTOPHER CATHERWOOD is a lecturer, author and Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. With degrees in History from Oxford and Cambridge universities, and a PhD in Middle Eastern History from the University of East Anglia, he is currently a freelance lecturer at Cambridge University and the University of Richmond, Virginia, where he has taught courses on Middle Eastern History. He also teaches History at the Cambridge-based INSTEP course, an affiliated overseas programme of American institutions. His books include Winston’s Folly, which was followed by articles in the Sunday Times on Iraq, and television and radio appearances in the UK and USA. He divides his time between Cambridge, England, and Richmond, Virginia.
