Sausage and Potato Pot

This is a simple and tasty dish, easily put together in the morning to be ready when you come home from work.

Serves 1

200 g/7 oz/1 small can of tomatoes
15 ml/1 tbsp breadcrumbs
2.5 ml/½ tsp garlic purée
A pinch of paprika
A pinch of chilli flakes
3-4 pre-cooked turkey sausages
1 potato, cut into chunks
15 ml/1 tbsp frozen diced onion
½ courgette (zucchini), sliced
30 ml/2 tbsp grated Cheddar cheese


  1. Put the tomatoes and their juice in the slow cooker and stir in the onion and seasonings.
  2. Push the sausages, potatoes and courgette under the sauce. Cover and cook on Low heat for 4 hours.
  3. Remove the sausages and slice them thickly, then stir them back into the sauce with the breadcrumbs.
  4. Serve sprinkled with the cheese.

You can use any kind of sausage for this dish.
