FRANK ZAFIRO writes gritty crime fiction from both sides of the badge.
He was a police officer from 1993 to 2013, where he worked patrol, investigations, commanded K9 and SWAT, and retired as a captain.
Frank has written more than fifty books, including his River City series, and collaborated with five different authors, including Colin Conway and Eric Beetner. As Frank Scalise, he writes family drama, humorous and heartwarming novels, and children’s and middle grade sports novels. As Frank Saverio, he writes science fiction and fantasy.
In addition to writing, Frank hosts the podcast Wrong Place, Write Crime. He is an avid hockey fan and a tortured guitarist. He lives in Redmond, Oregon.
