A Singular Thief
G. has nothing. Simple as that, he has nothing. He hangs around people who do. But, stubborn thief though he might be, he never manages to steal the slightest object from them. Dust is all he gathers. Which is why he finds himself ever more down at the heels. But he is without peer when it comes to sniffing out thieves. Whatever the stolen object, small or large, he espies it. He recognizes the single stolen pearl among the ten others that in fact belong to you.
Thieves therefore flee him. He sows panic among them. “This does not belong to you, he tells them. Nor this. Har! Har!” His sardonic chuckle worries us all.
