Turmeric-Ginger Latte

I have to hand it to my friend Joy McCarthy for introducing me to the turmeric latte years ago. It was something I was unsure of at first, but it is absolutely delicious and warms my soul with every sip. Curcumin, a compound in turmeric, is a known anti-inflammatory and is best absorbed into the body when paired with black pepper, so feel free to add a pinch.

Serves 1

In a small pot over medium-high heat, bring the water and milk to a gentle boil.

Pour into high speed blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend until combined and frothy. Strain out the strands of ginger through a fine-mesh strainer if desired.
