BERRY-PATCH BROWNIE PIZZA
I just love the combination of fruit, almonds and chocolate that makes this brownie so distinctive. The fruit lightens the chocolate a bit and makes it feel as though you’re eating something both decadent and healthy.

Prep: 20 min. + chilling • Bake: 15 min. + cooling • Makes: 12 servings
- 1 pkg. fudge brownie mix (13x9-in. pan size)
- ⅓ cup chopped unblanched almonds
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- TOPPING
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. grated lemon zest
- 2 cups whipped topping
- Assorted fresh berries
- Fresh mint leaves and coarse sugar, optional
- 1. Preheat oven to 375°. Prepare brownie batter according to the package directions for fudgelike brownies, adding the almonds and almond extract. Spread into a greased 14-in. pizza pan.
- 2. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, for 15-18 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- 3. Beat first 4 topping ingredients until smooth; fold in whipped topping. Spread over the crust to within ½ in. of edges; refrigerate, loosely covered, 2 hours.
- 4. To serve, cut into slices; top with berries of choice. If desired, top with mint and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
