Fly

I woke hearing a fly

touched again to its sound

pelted into the window

trying to leave

for what was it

– something in sunlight that said

to wake now. Beyond that

pulsed and repulsed buzz

between two sheets of glass

a bird’s one note

come back to the world brought me

out of long sleep. Love,

as you stir from your dream’s

untrembling be still for me,

let me begin

my song for it sings moment

to moment love of you.
