PART 9

CONNECTING TO OTHERS

PELO TIP 67: THE ANNUAL

On the bottom tool bar, you will see a trophy icon and the word “Challenges.” You can tap on this word to see some fun little incentives. Relatively new to this section is something called “The Annual.” Join this year-long challenge, and the app will track your active minutes on all Peloton platforms. There is a timeline that will show you where you are and keep track of your progress. This should motivate you to keep coming back for more workouts and allow you to check your progress year-over-year.

PELO TIP 68: MONTHLY ACTIVITY CHALLENGE

Another way to increase your desire to return to your bike (or any activity) is by earning “badges.” The monthly challenge encourages you to earn a bronze (five days), silver (ten days), or gold (fifteen days) badge for staying active.

I encourage you to explore the ways in which the monthly activity challenges on your Peloton can become another fun and interesting motivator to your total workout experience.

PELO TIP 69: HOMECOMING

Just like a weekend school reunion, the Peloton Homecoming, formerly known as the Peloton Home Rider Invasion (HRI), is a chance to gather for a couple of days at various locations in New York City for workouts, outdoor community runs, meet and greets with instructors, panels and presentations, concerts, and apparel sales. Peloton negotiates special hotel block pricing for these events. Tickets sell out quickly, and there is always a waitlist. Typically, the tickets go on sale in February for a May weekend celebration.

The event was started in 2016. Over three thousand members from around the country, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom joined the fun. Tickets run around a hundred dollars (and do not include food and lodging).

If you’re interested in making an in-person connection with the Peloton community, the Homecoming event may be just the thing for you!
