OF THORNS AND HEXES was written with the intent of “winning” NaNoWriMo 2020. Elyse’s story sprouted inside of my creative mind as all my ideas do. There was something familiar about Elyse and her story that I just couldn’t let fall away. So, I embarked on this journey with her, feeling everything she felt, thinking her thoughts, crying her tears. I failed to finish Of Thorns and Hexes in time to submit it, but I loved this story so much so that I had to complete it. Thank you, Reader, for embarking on this dark journey with Elyse.
